Do You Have Your Vision?

I am assuming you have your online business set on a solid
foundation, you have long term and short term goals written out,
you have your budget and advertising set.

But do you have Vision?

This isn't anything you need to write out. Vision is in your
heart. Your personal plan. What drives you to be here? What are
your dreams? Your Vision is you getting up close and personal
with the "why", "where" "who" and "what" of your business.

Let's go deeper....

Your Vision is images and values you want for you business and
tying it all into a package that becomes a life choice for you.

It is the intimate reason you do what you do. Find your purpose
and passion, then build your business and your life around
that. Let your business become a part of your life...not your
life become your business. Find your balance!

This is just a tiny part of your Vision.

Things change with your business, for example on a road trip
even with a map you run into detours, roadblocks even a break
down at times. Having a vision does it help you continue in the
direction your purpose is in.

If you break it down into parts and look at each one then put
it all together you end up with a sort of life plan for you
business.

Ask yourself:

1. Why do I want to do this business?

Let's say you want to put your kids through college. So your
Vision will be you sitting in the audience at graduation and
hearing your childs name called and they walk across the stage
to get their diploma. You are very proud of their
accomplishment and know YOUR VISION is the reason they got to
college. You can close your eyes and SEE and FEEL the emotions
you and your family have on that wonderful day!

Your Vision is what your heart is telling you IS POSSIBLE!

2. Where do you see your business going?

Not today or tomorrow but way in the future when you are very
successful. Do you see yourself hiring assistants? Do you see
yourself moving into a swanky office building? Whatever is your
personal Vision...see it, feel it, close your eyes and imagine
yourself extremely successful.

3. What is the personal payoff going to be?

Will you take your dream vacation? Write a book? Go on Oprah?
What is your personal "pot of gold"? What does your "what" look
like? Visualize it!

4. Who is your perfect customer?

Visualize your perfect customer. Is it a stay-at-home Mom? She
wears jeans and has bunny slippers, drives a mini-van, has a dog
and a cat. Maybe your perfect customer is a business person who
wears suits and drives a Lexis and wears a Rolex.

Your Vision is fluid...not written in stone....your Vision
changes as your business changes...but you will always be on the
same path. Your Vision will help you define your purpose and
passion and bring that into the way you live life.

Lastly, add the images and values you want to bring to your
business. How do you want to be known? How do you want the
public to see you? What do you stand for? Be sincere and make
it count. Do things for the right reasons.

Your Vision once you step into it and start living it instead
of focusing on the day to day, brings balance to your life. It
becomes part of who you are. A business need to be productive
and work well in your life by having a vision you are more
likely to reach your goals, and end up with the business of
your dreams.
